Mandatory Installation
of Emergency
Equipment- Any owner, occupant or manager of the following facilities, etc. shall secure emergency equipment capable of cardiopulmonary resuscitation, such as automated external defibrillators.

- The term "public health and medical institutions" means health and medical institutions established and operated by the State, a local government, or a public institution prescribed by Presidential Decree (hereinafter referred to as "public institution") mainly for providing public health and medical services. The Minister of Public Safety and Security, the director generals of fire-fighting headquarters or the heads of fire stations shall promptly dispatch their fire brigades to the site in times of fires, calamities, disasters, and other emergency situations to engage in activities necessary for fire-fighting, such as fire extinguishment, lifesaving and first-aid services
- The term "aircraft" means airplanes, airships, gliders, rotorcraft, and other apparatus to be used for aviation, prescribed by Presidential Decree.
- The term "airport" means an airfield for public use, provided with airport facilities and the name, location, and area of which are designated and publicly notified by the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
- The term "rolling stock" means locomotives, passenger coaches, freight cars, and special cars, all of which are manufactured for the purpose of operating on railway tracks.
- The term "ship" in this Act means the sort of ships that are used or can be used for navigation on or under the water, and their classification shall be as follows
- 1. Steam ship: A ship propelled by an engine
- (Including any ship that has an engine attached to outside the hull which may be separated therefrom, and any ship using both engines and sails which mainly uses an engine, and a wing-in-ground ship (a ship that exploits "wing-in-ground" effect to fly just above the water surface)
- 2. Sail ship: A ship propelled by sails (Including any ship that uses both an engine and sails, with the latter used mainly)
- 3. Barge: A non-self-propelled ship that needs to be towed or pushed by another ship.
- The term "small ship" in this Act means any ship falling under any of the following subparagraphs
- 1. Steam ships and sail ships of less than 20 gross tonnage
- 2. Barges of less than 100 gross tonnage

Multi-family houses
(500 households)- Multi-family houses defined in Article 2 (2) 2 of the Building Act, not smaller than the size prescribed by Presidential Decree and Article 26-4 (Multi-Family Housing, etc.
- Obligated to be Equipped with Emergency Equipment) of the Emergency Medical Service Act with (1) "Scale prescribed by Presidential Decree" in Article 47-2 (1) 6 of the Act, means 500 households.

Public-use facilities
- Public-use facilities means any of the following facilities
- - A waiting room which has a total floor area of over 2,000 square meters or which was used by an average of over 10,000 daily passengers in the preceding year, among waiting rooms at the railroad stations (excluding railroad stations on the sections of an intercity railroad defined in subparagraph 2 (b) of Article 2 of the Special Act on the Management of Intercity Transport in Metropolitan Areas and an urban railroad defined in subparagraph 2 of Article 2 of the Urban Railroad Act)
- - A waiting room which has a total floor area of over 2,000 square meters or which was used by an average of over 3,000 daily passengers in the preceding year, among waiting rooms at a bus terminal defined in subparagraph 5 of Article 2 of the Passenger Transport Service Act
- - A waiting room which has a total floor area of over 2,000 square meters or which was used by an average of over 1,000 daily passengers in the preceding year, among waiting rooms defined in subparagraph 5 (b) (iii) of Article 2 of the Harbor Act
- - A casino facility which has the floor area for exclusive use for business of over 2,000 square meters, among casino facilities prescribed in Article 5 (1) of the Tourism Promotion Act
- - A race track prescribed in Article 4 of the Korean Racing Authority Act
- - A race track prescribed in Article 5 (1) of the Bicycle and Motorboat Racing Act
- - A correctional facility, juvenile correctional facility and detention facility prescribed in Article 11 of the Administration and Treatment of Correctional Institution Inmates Act
- - An immigration detention center defined in subparagraph 13 of Article 2 of the Immigration Act; and a youth detention center prescribed in the Act on the Treatment of Protected Juveniles, etc.;
- - A stadium and sports complex with the total seating capacity of over 5,000 among specialized sports facilities prescribed in Article 5 of the Installation and Utilization of Sports Facilities Act
- - A central administrative agency office building prescribed by the Minister of Health and Welfare
- - A City/Do office building prescribed by the Minister of Health and Welfare
